Vegas 2 – 2016

Waking up the morning after, somewhat sleepy we’ll admit. What a rollercoaster of emotion yesterday was.
We felt amazing on that stage and left our hearts on it. We know we have worked extremely hard since last year and there is no doubt in our minds that we are a better quartet than than the Hi-Jinx that walked across International stage last year.

What was most important to us yesterday was the amazing response of the audience. It was fabulous to hear the laughter in the funny places, the silences in heart filled places, and the wonderful chanting of our Aussies from Region 34, and our own chorus A Cappella West, filling the arena. To have people we didn’t know go out of their way to come up to us and say they were so moved by our performance. To receive messages from strangers saying how they loved our set and are now fans. To our friends in other International quartets who were so supportive and have taken time from their moments to make sure we knew how great we had done. To every one of our friends who were in tears as they were just so proud that we were ‘theirs’.

THAT is why yesterday was amazing and we wouldn’t change that for the world.

Woolongong Convention 2016

So honoured to again be Region 34’s Champion Quartet after a great contest in Woolongong.  Although the stage was not as friendly as we might have liked, the hearts and minds of our fellow singers in this amazing region will warm us the whole year through.

Congratulations to all the amazing quartets that crossed the stage today and shared their love of harmony with everyone ❤️

An Afternoon of Song With A Cappella West Chorus

Afternoon-of-Songs[1]HJ were delighted to join our chorus, A Cappella West, in an afternoon concert at the lovely Kalmunda Arts Centre on February 28th.

The audience was enthusiastic and appreciative, making for a fun début of our new contest ballad, “In The Wee Small Hours Of The Morning” and a new repertoire song, “I Know Him So Well” from the musical Chess.
